Political Empowerment Program
The Political Empowerment Program has been conducting training for youth and women in Kachin State and Northern Shan State for over ten years, educating future leaders by women leadership training, monthly political exchange, political awareness trainings and workshops and campaigns and event days activities. (Topics: human rights, women rights, democracy, federalism, constitution, peace and conflict resolution, WPS, local governance, gender, election and voting rights politics, rule of law, social accountability and responsibility governance, civic education and any other related topics as required.)
Objectives
- Youth and women will learn to use human rights and women’s rights, and they will be able to take part in the practical leadership of basic political awareness training in their surrounding areas.
- Women and youth will be able to take the lead in the political and peace process, and become citizens who will be able to cooperate for a society with full human rights
